Mittwoch, 17.Januar 2018 - 5:48 - Växjö Lakers from Sweden and JYP Jyväskylä from Finland will be battling to be crowned champions of Europe on Tuesday, 6 February 2018. The Champions Hockey League Final will be hosted at the Vida Arena in Växjö (SWE).

Two-time Liiga champions JYP Jyväskylä are the second Finish team vying for the European Trophy after Kärpät Oulu became CHL runners-up in 2016. JYP will face SHL leaders Växjö Lakers who keep alive the tradition of having a Swedish team in the CHL Final alive (2015–2017: Frölunda Indians & 2015: Luleå Hockey).

JYP defeated Ocelá?i T?inec (CZE) 7:6 on aggregate in the Semi-Finals, while Växjö secured their spot in the Final by beating Bílí Tyg?i Liberec (CZE) 7:2 on aggregate.

Both finalists have never made it further in the competition than the current stage which means a new CHL champion will lift the European Trophy in 3 weeks of time.

Växjö Lakers earned the right to play at home due to achieving the best accumulated record (Group Stage + Playoffs). The face-off time will be announced shortly on CHL channels.
