Montag, 15.Januar 2018 - 11:38 - Who advances from the CHL Semi-Finals will be decided when the Semi-Final return games take place on Tuesday night. Anything is possible in the match-up between Växjö Lakers and Bílí Tyg?i Liberec, as the teams start from a tie (1:1). At the same time Ocelá?i T?inec try to overturn a two-goal deficit against JYP Jyväskylä.

On Tuesday night the 2017/18 Champions Hockey League finalists will be known. The Final Two will be determined from the two Czech, one Swedish, and one Finnish team facing each other in the second legs of the Semi-Finals. The Växjö Lakers - Bílí Tyg?i Liberec match-up (face-off at 18:30 CET, link to game preview) starts from a tied score (1:1), while Ocelá?i T?inec needs the strong support of their home crowd to overcome a two-goal deficit against Finnish side JYP Jväskylä (2:4 / face-off at 17:00 CET, link to game preview).

None of the four CHL Semi-Finalists have ever made it further than the current stage, which means Tuesday night will produce two completely new Champions Hockey League finalists vying for the European Trophy – and on 6 February 2018, a new CHL champion will be crowned.

CHL Final Venue to be determined
The return games of the Semi-Finals not only determine the finalists by aggregate score, but also the venue of this season’s Champions Hockey League Final, played on 6 February 2018. The team with the best accumulated Group Stage plus Playoff record will play this last game at home (subject to formal approval by the CHL).

The current accumulated record (after Semi-Final first legs) is as follows:
25 Points (GD +14): Ocelá?i T?inec
21 Points (GD +08): Växjö Lakers
21 Points (GD +06): JYP Jyväskylä
17 Points (GD +03): Bílí Tyg?i Liberec (cannot qualify to host the Final anymore)

Points for Semi-Final games are awarded for results after 60 minutes (either 1 point for a tie or 3 points for a win). The tie breaking formula is Points, Goal Difference, Goals For.
