Montag, 08.Januar 2018 - 9:25 - Teams from three countries vie for the CHL Final with the Czech Republic being represented in both match-ups. Agreements with new broadcast partners have been finalised, increasing the CHL's coverage to a total of 62 territories and 27 broadcasters/platforms.

The Champions Hockey League resumes for its playoffs on Tuesday, 09 January 2017, with the Semi-Finals between Bílí Tyg?i Liberec – Växjö Lakers (17:30 CET) and JYP Jyväskylä - Ocelá?i T?inec (18:00 CET). At this point of the competition, the Czech Republic is represented by two teams, while Sweden and Finland still have one representative each in the race for the European Trophy.

From the remaining teams only Swedish side Växjö Lakers have reached this round before (Semi-Finalist 2016/17), while JYP Jväskylä and Bílí Tyg?i Liberec made the Round of 16 in previous seasons as their best results. Ocelá?i T?inec had previously only reached the Round of 32. Playing the CHL Semi-Finals is not only a milestone for the teams from Liberec and T?inec, but also for their country – never before have two Czech teams made it to this stage in the CHL so far. After Sparta Prague’s impressive journey to last year’s CHL Final another great achievement for the Extraliga.

The Semi-Final return games will be played one week later on 16 January in Växjö (SWE) and T?inec (CZE).
