For HCB Südtirol starts the Champions Hockey League this weekend against TPS Turku from Finland and Linköping from Sweden. The Foxes just practiced one week together and are still with-out game-action. „These are not the best requirements: We know Turku and Linköping are hart to beat even, when we are in game-action. Nevertheless we all will give our best and we try to convert the game-plan from our new coach. For us as a small hockey-county it is a big honor to play in this ice-halls“, said forward Stefan Zisser. The Italians arrived today well in Finland.

Also EC Red Bull Salzburg traveled to Finland to play their first CHL-game. The Red Bulls face there on Friday JYP Jyväskylä and just two days later the next game waits already in Sweden against HV71 Jönköping. JYP won the European Trophy last year. In the years 2009 and 2012 the Fins won the national championship. Jönköping has won even four titles in Sweden. 2013/14 both teams went out in their championships in the Quarterfinals. Manuel Latusa expects a difficult group: „JYP is the best finish team and HV71 is a typical Swedish club, but everything is possible“. Kristler is out.

Utica battled hard, put in hits and lots of shots at the start. It took us a while to adjust, after we did it got easier. We’ll meet them again in three days. That game might be even tougher for us.
