Sonntag, 23.Februar 2014 - 20:05 - On Monday the first games after the Olympic break will be played. HC Orli Znojmo hosts HC Bozen who have signed former NHL player David Laliberté.

„I’m happy about the intensity of our latest training sessions. All the player went along with it, also the younger ones“, tells us Znojmo’s assistant coach Milan Navratil who saw some details who are in great need of improvement in a defeat against Pardubice. In this friendly match Jakub Cech played the second part of the game, returning to the Eagles’ net after some months with Slovak side MHC Martin. “Now we have three goalies for the remainder of the season but Sasu Hovi is further on our first choice“, clarifies Navratil. The Czechs are on fifth place in pick round at the moment, being just one point behind fourth place and the home advantage in the quarters. Bozen is three points away and it might be their last chance to put pressure onto them in tomorrow’s encounter. “We are aiming for third place but we also know that Bozen has a great team with some good skaters. We are well prepared to show our home crowd a good fight”, adds Navratil. In regular season the two teams split points with both winning twice. In the first game in pick round, the Czechs suffered a 0:4 defeat. Tomorrow, they have all players good-to-go.
