Can Graz continue to win against Fehervar?

Teilen auf facebook

Dienstag, 29.Oktober 2013 - 6:02 - On Tuesday, SAPA Fehervar AV19 travels to Graz, facing the 99ers for the first time this season.

Moser Medical Graz99ers also won the second game of new coach Petri Matikainen, beating Villach 2:1 on the road. Now the Styrians are back on the first half of the standings, welcoming Fehervar on Tuesday. The 99ers are one of the best teams at home, conceding on average only 1.3 goals in their six home wins so far. “We have not played them this season but we know that they play good and fast hockey. We are very confident to continue our good run”, knows Ryan Kinasewich who had a 1+1 night in Villach. Dany Sabourin is the league’s second best goalie, posting a .933 save percentage.

Sapa Fehérvár AV19 has a tough weekend behind them, they hosted Znojmo and Innsbruck on consecutive nights. Eventually they had to settle for two out of the four points possible by beating Znojmo but losing a one-goal game to former Sapa goalie Adam Munro’s new team Innsbruck. “On Friday it was a great victory against a very skilled team Znojmo, the young Hungarian kids played very well. Our goalie’s performance was the most impressive, Miklos Rajna was very focused mentally for the game. To not get a win at home against Innsbruck was very disappointing. As a team we did a lot of good things, putting over forty shots on the net”, says assistant coach Rob Pallin. The Hungarians will hit the road again this week travelling twice, first on Tuesday night they will play the 99ers in Graz. “They have a new coach and a new identity and the players will probably play very hard for their new coach. Their imports are very good and Sabourin is an NHL goalie. But we also proved that we can play on the road where we had some big wins. If our team pays attention to all the small details of our team identity, we will be successful “, adds Pallin The Hungarians will travel with a complete line-up to Graz although Arnold Varga is expected to replace Attila Orbán for Tuesday’s game.
