Donnerstag, 26.Oktober 2017 - 7:17 - On the Austrian National Day five games are scheduled in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Eight teams are facing each other for the second time this season. Only the Vienna Capitals are challenging for the first time since four years Zagreb. On Friday three more games are scheduled.

Do, 26.10.2017, 16:00: EC Red Bull Salzburg - Fehervar AV 19
Referees: GAMPER, GRUBER, Ettlmayr, Pardatscher

Last weekend Salzburg found back to winnings ways with two victories while bottom-club Fehervar lost the last five games
Last season Fehervar won both meetings in Salzburg after penalties
The Hungarians have won the first season meetings thanks to a Music brace 2:1
Red Bulls new arrival Peter Mueller has earned points in his last four games (two goals, four assists)
Rob Schremp could make his comeback for Salzburg Thomas Raffl (EC Red Bull Salzburg): „We can take many positive aspects out of the last game in Innsbruck, but we also saw many things, where we still have room for improvement. Still, there is a positive trend, which we need to continue against Fehervar. The Hungarians are a very offensive team, so we need to play a compact defense and use our chances.”

Benoit Laporte (Coach Fehervar AV19): „We have a tough road trip, we are leaving on Thursday in the morning, that will be a tough day but we have to focus on those two games, we have two games and three days together which will be good four our team spirit. Hopefully we’ll get some points out of those games.“

Dornbirn (one defeat) and Znojmo (three defeats) are facing each other with negative results recently.
Znojmo won the first duel with 5:1
Nine points in the six road games, makes Znojmo to the fourth successful toad team. David Bartos scored the past three games against Dornbirn
DEC Goalie Ronan Quemener (save percentage 90,6%) hat handle with the most shots onto his goal this season Sean McMonagle (Dornbirn Bulldogs): „I expect us to come out hard at home. We know Znojmo, they beat us pretty handly when we went to their rink. We have to control the puck, get it deep and make traffic to the net.“
Roman Simicek (Coach HC Orli Znojmo): „We have had two home games with same result. The players worked a whole week to get their confidence back.“

While Innsbruck had to take a defeat in the 5:8 offensive battle against Salzburg recently, the VSV won the past two games
In the first duel VSV celebrated a 3:1 success after Kyle Beach stroke twice
Innsbrucks forward Yogan is leading the scoring oft he Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, with 22 points (8 goals, 14 Assists).
The games of Villach (6 goals per game) and Innsbruck (6,9) are the games with the most goals

Tirol is heading into a „road-double“, on Friday they are facing Zagreb. Kyle Beach (EC VSV): „Innsbruck is a good team. So we gonna have to play a solid team-game. We know, they can score a lot of goals. Their last game was 8:5 against Salzburg. So we have to take care on our defense first and create offense out of that. We come of a big win against Vienna, we build on that. We can not go on winning two and losing two. We want to win now three in a row, so it is an very important game for us. If we take care on our business, then we should be successful."
Tyler Spurgeon (HC TWK Innsbruck): „It is a tough and important road-trip for us. If we want to stay at the top positions, we need do step up our game on the road. We need to be ready and do our homework in defense.”

The 99ers dropped to the sixths place after two defeats, the Black Wings won four out of the past five games
Linz won seven out of nine duels against the 99ers in the past. They also won the first duel of this season
The 99ers received already 52 goals this season, which is the highest number. On the other hand only three teams sccored more goals than Graz
Linz won the past four home games, the 99ers won only two out of seven road games.
Briean Lebler (10 goals) is the leader of the goal scoring statistics. Ken Ograjensek is the best scorer for the 99ers (16 points) and is leading the assist statistics of the league (14 Assists).

Leader Vienna had to take their first defeat on Sunday. Zagreb lost the past two games oft he league.
After four years “break” it is the first duel of these two teams.
The last duel on the 13th February 2013 was decided by Zagreb with 5:4
In five home games Zagreb scored 22 goals
The special teams are the specialty of the Caps. They are leading the statistics in powerplay and in penalty killing. Zagreb has the weakest efficiency of powerplays (11,1%).

In the first duel the hungarians celebrated a 2:1 succes over Dornbirn.
The Bulldogs won ten out of 13 home games against Fehervar.

Referees: PIRAGIC, ZRNIC, Nothegger, Seewald
Bozen recently won aginst Znojmo in overtime. KAC is on a two games winning streak.
In the first duel the KAC booked a close home win. Manuel Ganahl scored in the past three games against Bozen (three goals, two assists).
The trio of Bozen Petan, Smith (both 21 points) and Halmo (20 points) is closely behind the leage topscorer Yogan (HCI).
The KAC has the weakest penalty killing of the league (73,6 %), in 53 shorthanded situations they received 14 goals.
