Four home wins in the EBEL on Friday

Samstag, 14.Oktober 2017 - 6:41 - Eight teams of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga ended the first full round of regular season on Friday - the four home-teams captured wins. The Liwest Black Wings Lings won a close game against the EC Red Bull Salzburg and confirm their top-3 rank. The Dornbirn Bulldogs celebrated a comeback win against the EC-KAC.

Black Wings won after exciting finish
The LIWEST Black Wings Linz won after dramatic last minutes against the EC Red Bull Salzburg. Both teams started with high energy on the offensive end. But none of them could score in the first 20 minutes. In the 26th minute Corey Locke opened the scoring for the Black Wings. Only two minutes after that, Brian Lebler deflected a shot and increased the lead. Salzburg pushed for the first goal, but needed 49 minutes to score. Peter Mueller scored from short distance. In the final minute, first Mario Huber scored the equalizer. But only seconds later, Brian Lebler scored the game winning goal. It was nearly no time left for another equalizer of Salzburg.

Dornbirn booked comeback win against KAC
The EC-KAC started good into the game. Jullian Talbot scored a rebound in the fifth minute. The KAC pushes for the second goal and Thomas Koch succeeded. From that moment on Dornbirn increased the pressure. Henrik Neubauer and Chris D’Alvise were successful and tied the game. In the final period, it was the former KAC player Ziga Pance who captured the lead for the Bulldogs for the first time. The KAC pushed for the equalizer one more time, but it was Jamie Lundmark who brought the final decision for the 4:2.

99ers celebrate clear success against Fehervar
The game was only eight seconds old, when the hosts got suprised by Fehervar. Csanad Edely scored for the Hungarian team for the 1:0. But from that moment on the 99ers took control. Fehervar had to take a couple of penalties. 99ers created many possibilities, one of them was converted by Daniel Oberkofler, who scored the equalizer. Oliver Setzinger captured the lead for the 99er minutes later. Fehervar increased the pressure in the beginning of the second period. But it was Evan Brophey who increased the lead for the 99ers. One more time Fehervar narrowed the gap: Janos Hari scored during substitution of the 99er for the 2:3. Oliver Setzinger and Ken Ograjensek kept their nerves and created the final result of 5:2 for the 99ers.

Foxes booked win against Zagreb
KHL Medveszak Zagreb started with a lot of pressure, but Melichercik proofed his reactions. In the 16th minute it was Daniel Glira who captured the lead for the Foxes. In the second Melichercik still kept the zero for this team. In a double powerplay situation Bozen inscreaed the lead to 2:0 after a goal of Oleksuk. In the beginning of the last period Bolvin managed to beat Melichercik for the first time of this evening. Smith had the right answer and scored the 3:1 minutes later. Halmo found the final decision in the 55th minute and created the result of 4:1.
