Freitag, 22.September 2017 - 5:31 - Friday is fight for points in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga at Klagenfurt and Zagreb and then on Saturday at Innsbruck and Znojmo. New at Zagreb is goalie Drew MacIntyre, who played for the Bears already last season in the KHL.

Fri, 22.09.2017: EC-KAC – HCB Südtirol Alperia (19:15)

  • With EC-KAC (30 times) and HCB Südtirol Alperia (19 times) the record Champions of their nations will face on Friday at Klagenfurt .
  • Compared to the 2016/17-season at Klagenfurt (Steve Walker) and Bozen (Pat Curcio) work new Head Coaches.
  • Klagenfurt and Bozen will face for the 21st time in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga: So far 75% of all games or 15 from 20 games were won by the home-club.

  • The Moser Medical Graz99ers will be guest at Zagreb for the first time since 1678 days on Friday. Last time the Styrians was guest at Dom Sportova on February 17th 2013 the Bears won 3:2, one goal scored Perkovich.
  • Both - KHL Medvescak Zagreb and the Moser Medical Graz99ers – won their last game. For the Croatians the 4:3-Overtime-win last Sunday at Dornbirn meaned their first season-victory.
  • Eight form the last ten clashes (including Pre Season) between the two teams ended with just 1-goal-difference.
  • KHL Medvescak Zagreb fights for their first home-win. The Bears lost their home-opener against Fehervar AV19. The 99ers have won already on the road.
  • KHL Medvesck Zagreb had to react, because goalie Gasper Kroselj got injured. New at the Croatian City is Canadian Drew MacIntyre. The 34 years old goalie played already last season 21 games for the Bears in the KHL and had a Save% of 92,5 and a GAA of 2,26. MacIntyre made already 500 AHL and even six NHL-games.

  • HC Orli Znojmo is still unbeaten at home, the Czechs won their both home-games so far. Besides just the Vienna Capitals and HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ did not lose at home in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga 2017/18.
  • HC Orli Znojmo is a fear-opponent of Dornbirn Bulldogs: The Czechs won 23 from 30 games (76.6% oft he games ) against the Austrians. But take attention: In the last four meeting the Bulldogs left three times the ice as the winner.
  • Sean McMonagle returns with the Dornbirn Bulldogs as an opponent to Znojmo. The Italo-Canadian played last year 51 games fore the Czechs in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and scored 29 points.
  • The Dornbirn Bulldogs try to end at Znojmo the current longest loosing-streak. The Vorarlberger lost their last three games. Four games in a row so far no team has lost in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga in the row 2017/18. .
  • Both teams are in action again just one day later. The Czechs host KHL Medvescak Zagreb on Sunday, the Dornbirn Bulldogs travel to Linz.

  • Both - HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ and Fehervar AV19 - try to return on the winning-street after defeats on Saturday in Innsbruck. For the Sharks the 3:5-lost on Tuesday at Graz even meaned their first season-defeat.
  • One series has to end on Saturday: While the Tyroleans won so far both home-games vs. HCB Südtirol Alperia (5:3) and KHL Medvescak Zagreb (3:1), Fehervar AV19 was successful in their only road-game at Zagreb as well (4:3 n.V.).
  • Both teams are in action also one day later: The Tyroleans are guest at Salzburg less then 20 hours later, the Hungarians play at Bozen (18:00
