Freitag, 29.September 2017 - 5:40 - WSV Sterzing celebrated a 8:1 blow-out win against the Fassa Falcons. Ben Duffy scored four goals on Thursday’s only game. The Broncos climbed the standings up to the 3th place.

Sterzing collected 4th consecutive victory against Fassa as they took third place in the AHL standings. Ben Duffy scored 4 goals. 6 of 8 Sterzing’s goals was made with special teams. In the first half, Vipiteno defended well despite numerous situations of inferiority. When the Broncos played at full strenght was dangerous and in the final the attack of the hosts was more incisive. After a good opportunity of Ivan Deluca, Ben Duffy scored the first goals after a wrist shot. During the second period Fassa couldn’t do anything against the Broncos attack. After just 13 seconds it was still Duffy that produced doubling in shorthanded. Then the Falcons halfed the disadvantage with Devin Di Diomete in counterattack but the match was firmly in the hands of Sterzing. In four minutes the Broncos made four goals. Jure Sotlar, Luca Felicetti, again Ben Duffy and Giffen Nyren. All goals was in powerplay. Before the end of the central period there was also the seventh goal for Hannes Oberdorfer. In the third time, Sterzing controlled the game as they reached the 8th goals with Ivan De Luca who fixed the score for 8: 1 in favor of the Broncos.
