Goalscorer Petr Vala returns from EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau to EK Zeller Eisbären, where he spend already five years and defenseman Michael Angelo Zanatta is back at Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro after three years in Switzerland. Plus: Gianni Scola stays goalie at HC Fassa Falcons and chance for youngsters at EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and EC Bregenzerwald.

Scola stays goalie at Fassa
Gianni Scola will be goalie at HC Fassa Falcons also 2017/18. Last season the 21 years old Italian started in the net for his home-club in all 38 SKY Alps Hockey League games and reached a save% of 88,8 and a GAA of 4.03.

Zanatta returns to Cortina
Michael Angelo Zanatta is back at Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro! The strong, solid defenseman, who is the clubs first new player for the 2017/18-compaign, played already from 2010 until 2014 for the Italian club. The last three years the 28-years old Italian National Team player spend in Switzerland with the NLB-club Red Ice.

New defenseman for Jesenice David Planko will play for HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice 2017/18. The 24 years old Slovenian defended in the last three years for the clubs big rival HDD Olimpija Ljubljana in the Erste Bank Eishockey League, scoring 14 points (2G/12A) from 122 games.

Vala is back at Pinzgau Petr Vala is back at EK Zeller Eisbären after one year at EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau! The Forward played already from 2011 until 2016 for the club from Pinzgau and made for the Polar Bears in five years 271 points (115G/156A) from 165 games on Austrias second highest level! Last season the 38 years old Czech was the "Lions" best scorer, he made 45 points (19G/26A, Plus-Minus: +10) from 42 SKY Alps Hockey League-games.

Chance for youngsters at Kitzbühel and Bregenzerwald
EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel continues their cooperation with HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“, same does EC Bregenzerwald and Dornbirn Bulldogs. This allows young players to play for both clubs in two differnt Leagues (SKY Alps Hockey League and Erste Bank Eishockey Liga). This means Andreas Huber, Fabian Nußbaumer (both defenseman), Lukas Bär and Mathias Kastner (both forwards) can play for the Sharks in the Erste Bank Eishockey League and with the Eagles in the SKY Alps Hockey League. And goalie Thomas Stroj can play – like past season already - in the net for the Bulldogs in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and for the "Wälder" in the SKY Alps Hockey League. 2016/17 the 21 years old goalie played in the net for ECB ten times in Austrias second highest League and reached a save% of 89,3 and a GAA of 3.91. Besides he made six games for DEC, reaching a save% of 89,9 and a GAA of 3.4. 2016 the goalie was already Inter National League Champion with the "Wälder".
